Biography

Dr Zhipeng Ma is a Lecturer in chemical engineering at UNSW Sydney, where he received his PhD in 2022. The research develops electrocatalytic processes that convert carbon and nitrogen feedstocks into useful chemicals, including ammonia, urea and carbon-based products. He studies catalyst surfaces and reaction pathways alongside reactor and process design, aiming to improve selectivity, stability and the potential for scale-up.
