Biography

Dr Xueqian (Queenie) Sun is a Research Fellow and ARC DECRA Fellow in the School of Engineering at the Australian National University. Her research investigates excitonic states and light–matter interactions in atomically thin semiconductors and van der Waals heterostructures. She combines optical spectroscopy, nanoscale device fabrication and materials engineering to control light emission and exciton transport. Her work aims to enable low-power optoelectronic devices, quantum light sources and emerging sensing technologies through advances in nanoscale photonic materials.
