Biography

Dr Sam (Xianjue) Chen is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Science at the University of Newcastle. The research creates functional materials through new synthesis approaches, with expertise in carbon materials, materials chemistry and nanoscience. Dr Chen received a chemistry PhD from the University of Western Australia in 2014 and held research positions at Flinders University, the Institute for Basic Science in South Korea and UNSW before joining Newcastle.
