Biography

Dr Kaiwen Sun is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering at UNSW Sydney. The research develops efficient thin-film solar cells using abundant, low-toxicity materials, including copper-based chalcogenides. He also investigates photovoltaic materials for tandem devices, photoelectrocatalysis and solar fuel production. He completed his PhD at UNSW in 2018, focusing on interface engineering in CZTS solar cells.
