Dr Doudou Zhang

Biography

Dr Doudou Zhang is a Macquarie University Research Fellow in the School of Engineering. Her research focuses on photoelectrochemical and electrochemical catalysis for sustainable chemical-fuel production. She develops low-cost catalysts, functional thin-film coatings and scalable electrolyser technologies, with particular interest in solar-driven energy conversion. Before joining Macquarie University in 2024, she worked as a Research Fellow at the Australian National University. Her work links materials design and electrochemical engineering to support more sustainable fuel and chemical production.
